Ammonia Program Instructor

I
have been in the industry since 1974 being exposed to the self alarming
refrigerant early in my career. I have serviced and installed
equipment in a lot of different food processes. The industry has moved
from the physical operation to more electronic operation through
automation. The ability to change the operation of a engine room
with the click of a mouse makes training more important today than ever.
The one thing that is still the same is that there are a lot of really
good people in this industry.

Martin Neff
martin.neff@gcccks.edu
(620) 276-9534
Automation Program Coordinator
|
Originally hired by the college to teach irrigation technology, Gerald
(Jerry) Hundley, the founder of the ammonia training program, “drafted”
me for the automation portion. My background in computers as a result
of my engineering training, I suppose, was one of the mitigating factors in
this selection. I have been teaching seminars since 1995. Although
my background was agricultural rather than industrial, I have utilized
internships in industry for experience and appreciate the problems facing
the maintenance/electrical technician in the work place. If you enroll in a
Programmable Controller (PLC), Electrical Motor Control, Frequency Drive, or
Fluid Power (Hydraulics or Pneumatics) seminar, you will meet me.
