Although
on a much smaller scale than most Industrial Ammonia
Refrigeration Systems, the laboratory systems at Garden City
Community College are 'real-world' examples and fully
functional. Show above is System A, a -20° F walk in
freezer. Behind the compressor skid package can be seen the
recirculating receiver package which pumps cooled liquid
ammonia to the evaporator in the freezer.
